Raising awareness

In order to promote the growth of the social and solidarity economy, the Luxembourg Government created a ministerial department in 2009 specifically dedicated to the coordination of policies in favour of the development of the social and solidarity economy.

In line with its multiannual work programme, the ministerial department for the social and solidarity economy regularly develops projects aimed at raising awareness of the social and solidarity economy, which is an innovative approach that values economic models designed to bring social added value and sustainable development to society rather than the pursuit of individual profit.
